1978 Dodge Chinook 18ft Fiberglass Motorhome

 

This fiberglass camper van has been gutted and renovated professionally with a rustic farmhouse interior decor and custom stripe paint job.  It has been a local beach cruiser/weekend camping beach rig.  Owner lives in Encinitas, but registered and title in sellers name in Montana because it doesn’t have the necessary smog equipment for California (yet).  Needs a E-valve and a smog pump to pass smog inspection.  Selling “as is” 

 

The Van 

• 1978  a 5.9L v8 360 Dodge B-300 chassis with twin exhaust pipes

• Duelly tires (6) with great tread, but not new tires, a few years old, no spare

• Starts right up, tuned up, new starter, and aluminum radiator, updated maintenance

• Engine odometer at 90,000 miles, brakes are good, e-brake has broken cable

• Rear Air bag suspension, tow package, custom rear bumper

• Custom exterior paint a few years ago with custom stripes

• Original seats, seatbelts in rear and dashboard in nice shape, new stereo

 

The Camper

• Chinooks are very popular small campers this one fits in any parking spot

• Fully gutted and newly custom renovated rustic farmhouse interior 

• New upholstery, new floors, new cabinets, custom bed system

• Twin couches come together to be a bed

• New large Dometic 3-Way fridge with freezer - chalkboard paint on front of fridge 

• Microwave, two burner propane stove, sink, shower, toilet, water tank, black tank

• Shower can reach outside for hot water rinsing off

• New propane hot water heater, exterior propane tank

• Roof top AC works great when plugged in to power, roof rack and ladder

• Small upper bunk area for kids or storage, large windows for outside feeling w screens

• Storage cabinets and upper storage cabinets

• Generator is there, but not sure if it works, never tried it

• Auxiliary camping battery could use replacement - 12v and 110v capability

• Rear door screen and locking handle
