Runs great and is ready for fun memories, here are the details:

Refurbished by Freedom Vessel a camper van builder in Encinitas.  Balboa Motorhomes are rare fiberglass campers that were manufactured from 1968-1974 in Costa Mesa CA at Jensen Marine.  They say there was only about 1000 ever made and less than 100 on the road today.  This one is labeled #876.  This one has lots of original paperwork, manuals and was well cared for over the years.  For more see @freedomvessel Instagram or FreedomVessel YouTube or www.freedomvessel.com

What does it need:

I am honest and happy to share what I think it would need, but it’s all up to the needs of the new owner and their intentions.  If you need or want upgrades I can tell you how or point you in the right direction

It could use new shocks, but that’s an upgrade not necessity

There is some rust on the inside for the doors, but nothing catastrophic…its 50yrs old.

There is a factory original radio on the dash, I didn’t know where to install a stereo so I use a Bluetooth speaker, better for camping too.  USB port on solar can charge the speaker

No seatbelts in the rear area but can be installed by new owner

The van gets about 12 mpg and has a 22 gallon gas tank

Will it make it across the country?  …It runs good, but if that’s your intention, go for it, but there is no way I can answer that question with complete honesty.  I am selling it ‘as is’ and I am happy to help answer any questions or guide you.

The rear bumper is a little bent, need a metal guy to bend it back
